Tooling - Plastic Parts
Rapid tooling is
the term for either indirectly utilizing
a rapid prototype as a tooling pattern for
the purposes of molding production materials,
or directly producing a tool with a rapid
prototyping system.
Rapid Tooling processes
complement the Rapid Prototyping options
by being able to provide higher quantities
of parts in a wider variety of materials,
even short-run injection molded parts in
the intended production material. There
are several options to pick from depending
on time available and material requirements.
